Sandy Elliot is an experienced art teacher who has taught in England as a head of art in an Essex school as part of an exchange programme. Whilst here, she introduced many people to the vibrancy and meaning of the indigenous art of Australia. She is head of art at Hillbrook Anglican high school in Brisbane.
Sandy gained a detailed understanding of Aboriginal art and culture by living in the outback as part of a government funded scheme. She remains committed to bringing about a more widespread understanding of this important , ancient culture.
