A design project for students of primary and secondary school age examining the structures which span places and the bridges which can be made between European cultures. The resulting drawings and models will be discussed with the European partner using the website.
Students will investigate the bridges in their own locality and describe them to to their partner school in the Netherlands using E-mail on the internet.

They will make design proposals for a riverside site which will include a bridge structure and leisure facilities. The focus of the project for the students will be to learn about this environment and about building structures.

Pupils will write regular E-mails about the project to local and partner schools in the Netherlands. They will photograph aspects of all visits made in connection with the project and aspects of design and technology to show partner schools what is being achieved as a photo diary As design ideas develop, drawings will be photographed and placed on the website for comment by other partners.
