Go to the National Grid for Learning website This website, approved content for the National Grid for Learning, supports learning in Design and Technology.

It focuses on a real example of the application of structural knowledge. Bridges are one of the most common forms of structure.

This site provides theoretical knowledge for students and teachers, with illustrations from places in both London's Docklands and the Netherlands.

Teachers can use the site to plan a complete project using the teachers' page. Students can use the simple menu structure to help them understand and develop their own design solutions.

The gallery pages show examples of schools in London and the Netherlands who have worked on the project and contributed their own experiences.
