Children's Rights Officer can help with most problems or point you in the right direction.

What does the Children's Rights Officer say?
I am the Children's Rights Officer for Barking and Dagenham.

You might ask yourself what that means and what do I do?
Well, first of all I'm here to listen to you and your views and any concerns that you have.

I work on different projects to get children and young people involved and to help us improve our service to you. That means that you have an important say in what we do!

I also work with the Social Workers, Managers and other professionals to ensure that your rights are respected and your voices are being listened to.

We are always looking for children and young people that want to get involved in the work that we do because we want to work with you.

Although we have quite a few groups and things up and running already (Newsletter, careweb, drama group, healthy eating group, trainings, etc.) we are always thinking about new things that we could do. So if you have any ideas and thoughts, let us know!!

And what might you want to know about me?
I've been in England since November 2004 and have also been working in Barking and Dagenham since then. I regularly go back to my home country Germany to bring back loads of dark bread.

I also like traveling to other countries and love doing sports like running, cycling, hiking, badminton,.. And when I'm not working, traveling or doing sports I like to meet with friends and family, learn Spanish and of course relax!
