As Children and Young People living in Britain you have rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This conventions states what you are entitled to and what things are not supposed to happen to you.

Additionally as children and young people in care and leaving care you have additional rights under the Children's Act and Leaving Care Act.

These two acts state what services and support you are entitled to from the local authority.

Barking and Dagenham Children's Services have a Children's Rights and Participation team.
