Information
What kind of children and young people does the LACHES Volunter Mentor Team work with?
Moving around may have meant their education has been disrupted; their social groups may change and they are unable to put down firm roots. They are often vulnerable, struggling with difficulties such as conduct problems, poor social skills, concentration problems and difficulties forming satisfactory relationships. In the past many have experienced neglect, home instability and inadequate supervision.
We are committed to reduce their vulnerability and increase their self esteem and confidence and will assist them to stay engaged in full time education, further education and/or employment.
