Volunteer Mentor Job Description


Designation: Volunteer Mentor to children and young people who are looked after by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham

 

Reports to: Volunteer Mentor Coordinator

 

Division: Children Social Services

 

Purpose of the job:

 

To provide support and assistance to the children and young people (Mentees), who are looked after by London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. Help them to develop their personal identity, skills, knowledge and abilities. Enabling them to remain or become re-engaged in education, training or employment to improve their life chances.
