The LEA facilitated the procurement of a wireless infrastructure solution for the ICT Test Bed schools in collaboration with the Cisco Gold partner scheme. This provided the schools with confidence in a quality assured solution that would deliver against the functional specification that had been agreed. Procuring for a network of schools also enabled the sharing of project management and implementation costs and allowed best value to be achieved.
